Biography: Dream Theater originally called Majesty were formed in New York in 1985. As collaboration John Myung (bass), John Petrucci (guitar) and Mike Portnoy (drums) who studied in the school music Berklee College of Music, and they recruit Kevin Moore (keyboards) and Chriss Collings (vocal). This group later changed its name to Dream Theater because there is another group that is also named Majesty, and demanded that they change the name.
Their first album, WHEN DREAM AND DAY Unite released released by Mechanic Records in 1989. This album fails to penetrate the market and lead to the promo tour of Dream Theater also is limited in the vicinity of New York only. Changes occurred after the formation of this first album. Their second album Images and Words with James LaBrie with a vocal fill.
